I don’t know a single leader who signed up or joined  the calling to be a leader in the Church to do anything less than to change the world. Maybe that’s not where you have ended up settling on recently or giving into at long last after what you have termed “realism” has set in, but things didn’t start out that way.

A quick scan over the many verses in the gospel where Jesus emphasized the need for leaders in order for the kingdom mandate to go forward shows point blank this truth:  “Recruit leaders who will recruit leaders who have a heart to utterly change the path of history.”

Some reading this who are over 40 years old have a hard time seeing the truth of those scriptures, but that’s what the scriptures really say. Isn’t it amazing how clear those scriptures were to us when we were in our early 20s and yet how obtuse they are now in our 40s, 50s and 60s?

If those scriptures have lose their magnetism to you as they had to me up until a few years ago you need as I did – to meditate on a handful of simple ideas. This week we will look at some simple but powerful thoughts that just might change your capacity, ability to hear the voice, the calling of God’s Spirit upon your life.

For today consider this:

Your greatest need is the recovery of your vision
There is no gimmick for recovering vision.  When we begin to ponder these things we are crossing into the list of ?Things God Alone Can Do.?
In my experience we can, however, jumpstart the process of God.  We can humble ourselves? utterly.  Pray the ultimate prayer of willingness to Big God.  My version is:  ?Here I am God.?

Leaders That Are Going Change World

Tuesday

Get Back on Horse

At some point all of us ? yes, 100% of us, have gotten off track somewhere along the way in our journey toward giving our all to God?s kingdom.

Typically this happened because some ?lamebrain? (no, you will not find that word in your King James Concordance, but you know what I?m referring to!) came across our path along the way and spoke words of cursing or did something horrible to stop us in our progress forward.

I have had more than my fair share of lamebrains in my nearly 30 years of experience as a leader.  Some of this opposition has cut down to the marrow of the bone ? it has gone to the point of betrayal in relationships that had been going for literally decades.  ?Hurt? doesn?t come close to describing my feelings at times.  ?Devastation?? now you are getting close.

After all that I have been through am I angry at God?  Actually no.  We are living in a world that is at civil war with God.”,1]
