Once you have discovered God’s heart for your geography or the dynamic aspect of what you are called to do specifically in this world, it won’t take long before you come to realize what took me a decade to realize, “I can’t do this without a talented team!”

As I’ve discussed this very point with numerous leaders in church circles, I’ve often received the response, “My problem is I’m just not a people person.”  I can accept that, at least initially. The problem with that statement is the resigned attitude that lies behind it. Neither I nor God nor you who are reading this is really all that interested in what any of our “natural” tendencies are. "So what?” is the right response regarding our limitations and hindrances.

Janie spoke words of wisdom to the doctors who suggested to her that the “plug” be pulled on life support systems that were keeping me alive after a disastrous medical mishap, and they apply in this situation, as well. There seemed to be no hope. The doctors were hoping for organs to transplant. She said it all in a sentence:  “When God’s Spirit shows up everything is subject to change!”

Pray for your team to begin to show up.

Pray for your attitude toward others to begin to change, and quickly. You will get nowhere fast with a Lone Ranger attitude.

Jesus said the harvest is indeed great but the workers are few. Do what Jesus did day after day, he trained, modeled and he imparted vision for what was to come. It really is not complicated.
