We’ve all been following the fallout of the Ted Haggard situation for the past week … and for good reason. In the long run, this is not like any other scandal in the conservative Church in our lifetimes. This is a bone rattler. This is a paradigm shifter.
This is true for many reasons. I will be talking about the issues raised in the next several posts.
What is important for the sake of making an application to all of our lives as leaders is, “What can we do to update our approach to setting guidelines in life and ministry in order to live and minister for all of our days and have a great ending?” Let me stress once again – I love Ted. He is a friend of mine. I am writing with a heart of respect for all he has done and not one bit of distancing of myself from him as a friend and associate.
More tomorrow…
