The most fun possible is a life — the life — that is yielded to Jesus.
All of the talk around “Joy” versus “Fun” or “Happiness” is silly. I’ve heard all of the slicing and dicing of words from seemingly clever preachers. It’s really a lot of smoke and mirrors. My theory is that teachers who spend time making points like this are likely depressed and in need of an anti-depressant or two to help them get back to the normal range with their bio chemistry.
So here’s my encouragement to you today: If you are depressed, see a good doctor and get help. When people come in contact with your church they should sense a spontaneous atmosphere of fun. This is one way to remove the Teflon coating from our weekend gatherings. Relax, settle down, have fun.
