Clearly God’s Spirit is creative. Perhaps God is best described as “creative” and in a sense all who are involved in the creative process find the fountainhead of their creativity - their “muse” - is the Holy Spirit - whether that is their confession or not. I know very few artists who would be willing to admit that to be the case.
Expand your level of creativity by taking a few small steps forward:
1. Explore your God given gifts. Perhaps you already have an idea what that is or what those gifts are. My observation is that God tends to do the same thing throughout our lives. We are wise to look back to the earliest stages of our lives to discover what we are all about now. What I am now, was started when I was age 4, as far as I can tell. I really haven’t changed much — I have just become sharper, more focused, more confident.
2. Capture your purpose and your gifts on paper, if you have enough clarity. This purpose should be no more than 2 points. Again, go back to what you were about as a 4 year old — where the river began — where your God story began. Your God story probably began long before you officially accepted Christ. Most of us were talking to God early on and were even hearing from God in a childlike way even back then.
3. Ponder the words, the blessings that truth tellers spoke to you and over you through the years as they observed you operating in your giftedness.
