A single patient in a hospital can consume about 50 to 100 papers in a single chart. The patient’s chart consist of the admitting diagnoses, laboratory procedures done, intravenous fluids, medications, doctor’s orders, prognosis and nurse’s notes. The reason why most hospitals today use EMR Services is to make these parts of the patient’s chart integrated into one device so that there would be ease in finding for a single data. With the Electronic Medical Record, you can just click on the computer and find the data that you require so you would no longer look from page to page in a traditional Chart.
